Sharing Something New (and a Little Scary!)
During the pandemic, I found myself making paper collages—a soothing escape during an anxious time. Art has always been a way for me to process emotions, though I've often brushed it off as "this quirky little thing I do."
This spring, something shifted. While chatting with a dear friend—an actual artist—I hesitantly shared my collages, calling them art for the first time. To my surprise, he was genuinely impressed and even asked to buy one. That moment sparked something in me.
Not long after, the universe seemed to conspire in my favor. Other artist friends began noticing my work on a private page and encouraged me to share more. So, I started following the breadcrumbs. I invested in better materials, took my art seriously, and even created a public Instagram account to showcase my work (with prices!).
I'll be honest—typing this post has my stomach in knots. Sharing my art feels like inviting you to read my diary. It's deeply personal and vulnerable. But here's what I keep coming back to:
Courage is vulnerability. There's no way around it—I've tried!
You, my wildly wonderful women in this community, have always been my biggest champions in all my scary endeavors. You're a safe place to share this new chapter of my journey.
More than anything, I hope this inspires you to create the life you dream of and live it out loud. As part of this journey, I'm planning a collage workshop for the Winter Solstice—a time to gather, create, and manifest dreams together. Stay tuned for more details.
In the meantime, I'd love for you to check out my art page. If it resonates with you, follow along and join me as I see where this new path leads.
